Dear Eric,

Thank you, unfortunately I think now my issue has shifted to the compilation of AIPS.

My OS is mac 10.12 and I have gcc (version 4.2.1) installed on on /usr/bin/gcc and gfortran (version 6.3.0) on /usr/local/bin/gfortran, and I've changed the compiler setting in $SYSLOCAL/FDEFAULT.SH for gfortran, $SYSLOCAL/CCOPTS.SH for gcc and $SYSLOCAL/LDOPTS.SH for gfortran, following the screen 10 of this page: http://www.aips.nrao.edu/install.shtml#menu_10 <http://www.aips.nrao.edu/install.shtml#menu_10>
However, I noticed that in both FDEFAULT.SH and LDOPTS.SH there are no options for "gfortran" but only for "g77", "xlf" and "ifort", and I did get the error message like:

Please see the full screen-output of INSTEP2 in the attached file.

So maybe I have set things in a wrong place? Is there a way to bypass this rather than install ifort?

BTW, I have another unrelated question: I was trying to load a uvfits file into AIPS with FITLD and I got the error message of :

LOCALH> FITLD1: UVFDAT: counts for cross-correlations
LOCALH> FITLD1: UVFDAT: found 1500 spectra samples already flagged
LOCALH> FITLD1: UVFDAT: found 100.000 percent samples already flagged
LOCALH> FITLD1: UVFDAT: omitted 150 totally flagged vis records

I saw you have already answered a similar case on here: https://listmgr.nrao.edu/pipermail/daip/2017-May/023505.html <https://listmgr.nrao.edu/pipermail/daip/2017-May/023505.html> but I just wonder by which parameter could AIPS tell if the data has been flagged? Because in my conversion code I didn't pass any "flag" from OIFITS to UVFITS, and all my other files could be load into AIPS without such a problem, so I'm a bit puzzled. I've also attached the .uvfits file, in case you want to check it.

Thank you so much!

Cheers,

Feng

I didn't re-install the whole AIPS package but just run INSTEP2 and INSTEP4 in the "AIPS/31DEC17/MACINT/INSTALL" directory. Attached is the screen-output from both scripts, for your reference.
