I am surprised that this worked.  Normally going through gygax to your 
desktop is usually a blocker.  Perhaps the -Y allows stuff. There has 
been lots of trouble with authentication of late - my e-mail stopped 
working (thunderbird and rcmail both).  What I use is to run vpnui on my 
linux laptop.  This also claims that vpn.aoc.nrao.edu is not to be 
trusted.  It does allow me to go ahead anyway.  Then I ssh into primate 
directly.  The aips TV then works.  Note, if your laptop is a Mac there 
may be greater difficulties.  Fraser has finally gotten his to work however.
