When I say compile locally I mean that you have to set upthe $SYSLOCAL files FDEFAULT.SH, LDOPTS.SH and CCOPTS.SHto point at compilers that you have on your machine.  You also needto remove the file RSYNC.ME which tells the machine that it is a binary installation.  Frankly your troubles confuse me.  I do find that the string GFORTRAN occurs in the libgfortran.so.3 but I can't find it anywhere else on my machine so I do not see how it getsresolved here.Note that gfortran versions 4.x frequently do not work.  Use at leastversions 5 or better 6.Eric Greisen
