hi Eric:

I have a ticket in to our help desk here. I will show them your messages and they may be able to help me figure it out from this information. I tried poking around before putting in this ticket and saw general problems regarding links after upgrading to El Capitan.

If we manage to solve it I'll let you know how. I followed the installation instructions as I always have, and never had problems before. But Apple keeps making it harder and harder. We do have a linux mainframe for casa so we could install AIPS there but I like having it locally. (I don't trust casa is the problem)
