I have looked hard at the geometry in IRING because it
is somewhat confusing.  But in the end I think it is doing
the right thing except that every radius has been increased
by dividing by the cos(inclination).  I think that is wrong but
the rest appears to be okay.

Can you send me the IMHEADER output for your image
or better yet a FITS file of the image?  And then tell me
what makes you think that it is doing things wrong.  I was
thinking of trying this on my galaxy HI image but I am not
sure what to expect of it.
