Thanks Eric. What does /data/AIPS/VLITE-NRL_1 point at? When I log in it seems to be my data on Hamal so I'm confused but that. 
As vlitenrl (the user) on vlite-nrl (the computer) we get permission errors with the current setup but maybe that isn't surprising
given the current setup?
