New Staff Reply: Loading AIPS data in a different computer

Note - the suggestion that you use the old raw aips
data rea on the new computer requires that the 2
computers have the same architecture (i.e. Intel cpu
chips in both).  Old Sun and IBMPPC Macs have words in the
opposite byte order and have to be translated with a
stand-alone program REBYTE which we provide.
