New Staff Reply: DTSIM bug and explain information errors

I have put back the changes I mentioned and some more to help it work.
But I suspect that the u,v,w values are wrong.  The MNJ will get the fixes
you specifically mentioned but it may not work properly still.  I will
work on it more in subsequent days.
