[daip] 31DEC12 Installation on Linux

My name is Brendan Reardon and am currently working to install AIPS to work
under Dr. David Roberts at Brandeis University.

While installing, it is clear that my PP.exe file is not installing, which
prevents AIPSUBS.LIS from compiling.

I have done much troubleshooting and neither my adviser or I can figure out
why I am having this issue. My greatest lead has to do with this resource:

Suggests that I look in the files

 And, I checked the FDEFAULT.SH, CCOPTS.SH and LDOPTS.SH files and find

but I cannot find them with grep.

directory (for me)

/soft/aips/31/DEC12/LINUX/\soft\aips\31DEC12\LINUX\SYSTEM\BRANDEIS


but the files are not there.

At this point, I am stumped as to why my PP.exe failed to install. If there
is any assistance you could provide, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank
