New Staff Reply: VLBATECR, VLBAEOPS: can't find /tmp files

The tasks use ZTXOPN as do most other tasks that open
text files.  I tested STARS with links in various ways
and it seemed to work just fine.  I cannot replicate
your setup but I made a ln -s file in /tmp and then
set infile='/tmp/AITEMP/STARS.test1
and it worked fine with STARS.test1 in the directory 
linked under the name AITEST.  I have also used links
to simplify the horrible EVLA SDM directory tree names
and that works for the OBIT tasks that access them.

Do a TGET TECOR after the failed VLBATECR and see what INFILE
value was used.  Does this match the file?  I assume you mean
/Private/tmp rather than private/tmp since I do not know what
the other would mean.  I am at the moment out of ideas on this.
