[daip] BLAPP behaviour

Dear Eric,

Well, it will be difficult to send you all the data...I attached to this email the result from PRTAB for the BS1 table (as tar gzip file). But the CL table is just too huge to be send (650Mb), so I just send the first 10000 lines of it.

I looked at the BS table header and there are few things I do not understand:

	VERSION = 4 => Is this an AIPS internal number ? I tried to set it at 1 but I got a fortran error...
					forrtl: severe (60): infinite format loop, unit -5, file Internal Formatted Write

	NO_IF = 1 => This is not correct since I have 4 IFs in my data...But if changed to 4, this is not compatible with MK3 mode
					BSINI: 4 IFS INCONSISTENT WITH MODE 'MK3 '

	MODE = 'MK3 ' => Should this be 'MK4' ? I set it to 'MK4' but nothing seemed to change and I got the same error:

					macpco> BLAPP1: Task BLAPP (release of 31DEC11) begins
					macpco> BLAPP1: FQMATC: Setting FQ id number = 1
					macpco> BLAPP1: Doing no flagging this time
					macpco> BLAPP1: Writing SN table version 7
					macpco> BLAPP1: DID NOT FIND ANY SOLUTIONS
					macpco> BLAPP1: Purports to die of UNNATURAL causes
					macpco> BLAPP1: localhos 31DEC11 TST: Cpu= 0.7 Real= 2 IO= 182

Should I change these parameters?

I also compared the NX, BS and CL tables for the first two scans of the schedule (starting at 18:00:00).

* In NX:
0116-219 (id=1)		0/18:00:03 - 0/18:08:19		SA2
1803+784 (id=2)		0/18:00:03 - 0/18:08:20		SA1

* In BS:
18:02:30.0 + variable time interval (depending on baseline) src 2 SA1 => Should be SA2 here!!!!!
18:00:24.0 + variable time interval (depending on baseline) src 1 SA1 => ok

* In CL:
from start time 18:00:00.0 or 18:00:29.4			src 2		SA1			=> ok
								and			src 1		SA2			=> ok

This lead to several questions/remarks:
	* When using USUBA (subarrays), the BS table seems to be not correctly updated. I did not search yet for another example...

	* I am wondering if the entries of the BS table has to be "synchronized" with the CL's? Can BLAPP work fine if the start time is not the same in the BS and the CL tables?

Thanks for your help,
Best regards,
Arnaud
