New Staff Reply: ZTACT2 messages in AIPS

I am attempting to understand the cause of the message to
decide whether suppressing it is a good idea.  The routine
is read /tmp to find the process ID of the task (IMAGR)
that the user is inquiring about.  It is finding several
listed in /tmp but having trouble doing a stat on the
files.  Are multiple users running on this machine?  Do
they all belong to the same group and allow group read
on all files or is the group prevented from reading?  (I
could suppress permission errors for example...)

If multiple users, logged in as themselves, use a machine,
AIPS assumes that they are friendly.  It really requires
a shared group and group read allowed.
