there is clearly something wrong in the set up for your machine

I need to see a couple of things - I suspect that your machine does not 
identify itself suitably or perhaps there is an error in HOSTS.LIST or 
in the $SITE used in installation compared to the one used previously.

after you do the source LOGIN.CSH or . LOGIN.SH do

echo $ARCH
echo $LAPTOP
echo $SITE
echo $HOST
more HOSTS.LIST

and send me the output.  It is not finding your $SYSLOCAL and all bets 
are off after that...
