[daip] AIPS Installation problem

Thanks for reply.
First I would like to mention I am using Ubuntu8.10 version.
yes I started binary installation with perl install.pl -n command.
After typing $CDTST it gives me following error:
bash: /home/viral/aips1/31DEC08/LINUX/SYSTEM/VIRAL-LAPTOP/CDVER.SH: No such
file or directory
then still I typed aips and getting following thing:

START_AIPS: Your initial AIPS printer is the
START_AIPS:  - system name , AIPS type

START_AIPS: User data area assignments:
DADEVS.PL: This program is untested under Perl version 5.010
  (Using global default file /home/viral/aips1/DA00/DADEVS.LIST for
DADEVS.PL)
   Disk 1 (1) is /home/viral/aips1/DATA/VIRAL-LAPTOP_1

Tape assignments:
   Tape 1 is REMOTE
   Tape 2 is REMOTE

START_AIPS: I am GUESSING you are at a workstation called viral-laptop
START_AIPS: Starting TV servers on viral-laptop asynchronously
START_AIPS:  - with Internet Sockets...
START_AIPS: Starting TPMON daemons on VIRAL-LAPTOP asynchronously...
