I have been worried about the reaction I will get from people who depend
on AIPS but choose not to talk to me. I have had people scream at me
for "breaking their code" and demand that I fix it or continue to make
ancient versions of AIPS available. FILLM takes only 48 characters in
that adverb period. You can say INFILE = 'xxx' where xxx is more than
48 but only the 48 will go into the task or the task will not work.
that is unchanged - only the name changed to protect the guilty.
Sorry to appear so angry - i am just back from vacation and harassed.
