So far as I know it works at present. miranda has been kept up to
date and has the 31DEC08 version of aips. I forgot to update the
online version of FILLM to match changes I made recently - but I am
doing - just finished - the link edit now. Mu main concern is that
miranda is an old, slow machine that is used for other things at the
site including some that must be time critical - there is a big sign
on it about do not reboot. If an aips user got serious on miranda,
the machine might get overloaded and be unable to do its other work.

It should work on miranda. If there are other machines up there - the
HOSTS.LIST shows
+ BANSHEE SUL NRAOVLA NONE Sun Ultra 1, VLA Operators
+ MIRANDA SUL NRAOVLA NONE Sun Ultra 2, Site WS
+ PUCK SUL NRAOVLA NONE Sun Ultra 1, VLA site
+ POKEY SUL NRAOVLA NONE Sun Ultra 1, VLA site
which are supported by miranda. I think eva works via the AOC copy of
aips - there is no linux installation of aips at the VLA site.

+ EVA LINUX COAOARN NONE Operators Linux system

We really should have a modern, presumably Linux, machine up there
with an aips installation. But my requests for same have gone
unheaded.
