[daip] INSTEP4 link failed

Hi,

I'm installing AIPS software and, after resolving many problems, I'm blocked
with –I hope– is the last one...

With those 7 files :
$ grep -v ^- *.LIS
AIPPGM.LIS:~/AIPS/31DEC07/AIPS/PGM/AIPS.FOR
AIPPGM.LIS:~/AIPS/31DEC07/AIPS/PGM/AIPSB.FOR
AIPPGM.LIS:~/AIPS/31DEC07/AIPS/PGM/AIPSC.FOR
AIPPGM.LIS:~/AIPS/31DEC07/AIPS/PGM/BATER.FOR
AIPPGM.LIS:~/AIPS/31DEC07/AIPS/PGM/DAIP.FOR
AIPPGM.LIS:~/AIPS/31DEC07/AIPS/PGM/GRIPR.FOR
AIPPGM.LIS:~/AIPS/31DEC07/AIPS/PGM/POPSGN.FOR

The INSTEP4 fails saying that:
LINK      : Status from /sw/bin/g77 is 1
LINK      : Link of    ~/AIPS/31DEC07/MACPPC/PREP/*.o
LINK      : dies from wimpy compiler
LINK      : Dies of unnatural causes.
COMLNK    : Link failed!
…
INSTEP4    : Failure in $AIPPGM/...
INSTEP4    : compiling/linking.
INSTEP4    : Dies of unnatural causes at Tue Feb  6 00:03:51 CET 2007
AipsWiz: Error: INSTEP4 failed, no point in proceeding

Could somebody resolve this –little ?– problem ?
