I am installing 31DEC08.
My computer is Linux with just upgrated system - Ubuntu.
I use binary installation.
I have two problems.
1. with cvs:
AipsWiz: About to run 'MAKE.BMNJ '...
AipsWiz: This will generate a fair bit of output.
AIPS_VERSION=/sjet02/aips/31DEC08
MAKE.BMNJ - Moving to /sjet02/aips/31DEC08/LINUX/UPDATE
MAKE.BMNJ - The MNJ now uses cvs (http://www.cvshome.org) for updates;
MAKE.BMNJ - looking to see if I can find a copy of it....
MAKE.BMNJ - Found /usr/bin/cvs.
MAKE.BMNJ - Found UPDCONFIG in your SYSLOCAL area
/sjet02/aips/31DEC08/LINUX/SYSTEM
MAKE.BMNJ - - but it was created by this script. Good!
./MAKE.BMNJ: 122: cannot create /sjet02/aips/31DEC08/MACINT/.cvsignore:
Directory nonexistent
./MAKE.BMNJ: 122: cannot create /sjet02/aips/31DEC08/MACINT/.cvsignore:

MAKE.BMNJ - cvs needs to be primed by a login operation; this
MAKE.BMNJ - is also a good time to test and make sure you can
MAKE.BMNJ - connect to our server. We will now try to login to
MAKE.BMNJ - the server (mnj.aoc.nrao.edu); when prompted for
MAKE.BMNJ - a password, just hit the enter or return key.
Logging in to :pserver:anoncvs at mnj.aoc.nrao.edu:2401/home/aipssrc/cvs
CVS password:
cvs login: CVS password file /home/jorstad/.cvspass does not exist -
creating a new file
MAKE.BMNJ - /home/jorstad/do_daily.sjet already exists
MAKE.BMNJ - You might want to add a crontab entry, e.g.

30 1 * * 1-6 /home/jorstad/do_daily.sjet

MAKE.BMNJ - when you are ready to start the MNJ.
MAKE.BMNJ - Your configuration for the AIPS midnight job is complete.
AipsWiz: Not good; no /sjet02/aips/31DEC08/LINUX/SYSTEM/BUSJET/UPDCONFIG
found; did MAKE.BMNJ fail?
AipsWiz: You should investigate this.

2. with FILAIP, both procedures FILAIP and POPSGN can not find
library - libsvml.so, however, I know that the library is install in
/opt/intel/fc/10.1.008/lib/libsvml.so:

AipsWiz: About to run FILAIP. If this is a re-installation, you
AipsWiz: will be prompted for an AIPS Manager password. The
AipsWiz: default password is AMANAGER

Data disk assignments:
(Using global default file /sjet02/aips/DA00/DADEVS.LIST for DADEVS.PL)
   Disk 1 (1) is /sjet02/aips/DATA/SJET_1
   Disk 2 (2) is /sjet11/AIPSDAT1
   Disk 3 (3) is /sjet11/AIPSDAT2
   Disk 4 (4) is /sjet11/AIPSDAT3

Starting up FILAIP (RELEASE OF 31DEC08)
/sjet02/aips/31DEC08/LINUX/LOAD/FILAIP.EXE: error while loading shared
libraries: libsvml.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or
directory
AipsWiz: FILAIP seems to have run correctly. Now running POPSGN.
AipsWiz: This will show a prompt; don't type anything, as I will
AipsWiz: enter the magic incantations. If it works, you will see
AipsWiz: the message 'Popsgen complete' momentarily...

Data disk assignments:
(Using global default file /sjet02/aips/DA00/DADEVS.LIST for DADEVS.PL)
   Disk 1 (1) is /sjet02/aips/DATA/SJET_1
   Disk 2 (2) is /sjet11/AIPSDAT1
   Disk 3 (3) is /sjet11/AIPSDAT2
   Disk 4 (4) is /sjet11/AIPSDAT3

Starting up POPSGN (RELEASE OF 31DEC08)
/sjet02/aips/31DEC08/LINUX/LOAD/POPSGN.EXE: error while loading shared
libraries: libsvml.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or
directory
AipsWiz: Copying DA00/SJET/* files to 31DEC08/LINUX/TEMPLATE/ area

What can I do to overcome these results?
Thank you very much,
Svetlana Jorstad
