There are some things I do not understand about this - so far as I can
remember the tables formats have not been changed in years and years.

I need to know a few things I did not ask before - when you install
aips do you do the binay installation or compile things yourself?
What compilers (in detail incl versions) did you use if any?
What sort of computers are your new and old ones?

There ahve been a variety of changes in CALIB between 31DEC04 and
31DEC06 so I would be less suprised to see changes in that test.

Are you saying that copying the 31DEC07 "final" uv data to the 31DEC06
installation yields the same image as was obtained in the 31DEC07
version? This would seem to let IMAGR off the hook for problems
anyway.
