[daip] AIPS install problems on AMD 64 bit machine

We may be in a better position to help you out in a week or so.  We  
got in yesterday a new AMD64 bit machine.  We're waiting on our local  
system's group here to setup that machine and once it's available, we  
will install AIPS on it.
