Try reading the web page again. Fetch install.pl only. Then cd $AIPS_ROOT perl install.pl -n and you will get a binary version of aips built with the IBM compiler which is superior to the gnu one. You can run MNJs to get binary updates if you wish and are using 31DEC05. BTW - the daip at nrao.edu address will get faster responses when I am away. Eric Greisen
