No the averaging on the screen is the integration time with can be 1,
2, 3, 4, etc the value of DPARM(6) depending on what it takes to fit
on the screen.  This is the default - you can reset the averaging and
look at windows into the data if you have that much data.  It is
called SET SMOOTH TIME.

The scan is the length of the comparison interval in the vector
difference display (it shows data(t) - avg over +- 1/2 scan interval
around t of data(t)).  You can change the scan interval with SET SCAN
TIME.
