[daip] AIPS question: deleting files

Hello,

this may be a very stupid (and thus hopefully easy) question.
In several runfiles, I have to delete disk files (e.g. log files,
plots in PS files etc.) before calling the run file. Is there a way to
delete standard disk files or to call general operating system
commands from within AIPS, especially from run files?
