good - I will see if I can figure out what went wrong here

FILAIP needs to be run - to these questions give these answers
(note the -100 not +100)

        " #disks, #catalog entries per disk: 15 -100
        " #interactive AIPS, #batch queues: 8 2
        " #tape drives: 4

This will then create (and mostly init) the files that SETPAR and AIPS
use. You also need to RUN POPSGN with answer 0 POPSDAT TST to the
main question and a return to the > prompt.

No one has seen a use for these probably obsolete entries.

When you RUN SETPAR look at the question that asks about AP size. Try
to change it to 9999999 and it will tell you the limit. I will look
to try to see if I can figure out what (probably) went wrong here too
- if one re-runs install.pl a lot one still has to read and perhaps
adjust the magic page 10.

The file that sets the AP size is
     $INC/NOTST/$ARCH/PAPC.INC
To change the AP size

1. Edit the above
2. COMRPL $APLGEN/ZDCHIN $QPSAP/*.FOR $QOOP/*.FOR
3. COMLNK $AIPPGM/SETPAR
4. COMLNK $QPGM/*.FOR $QPGNOT/*.FOR $QPGOOP/*.FOR
5. COMLNK $QYPGM/*.FOR $QYPGNOT/*.FOR
6. RUN SETPAR to change the ap size to as large as it will now let you
