[daip] XAS help needed on home Mac running 10.2.6

Pat's suggestion is a temporary fix and I do not know what te real
problem is.  BTW - Pat's sugggestion can be coded into your
~/.Xdefaults file (see HELP XAS).

On Solaris this message comes from a limit on the size of shared
memory.  I do not know how to change any such limit on Macs.

I am forwarding this to two folks with Mac experience.  We did not hit
this error on the Macs here...
