Slime was never ported to Linux - it uses libraries in XWindows that
are not commonly present in Linux (I am forgetting the name). Slime
was a product of Chris Flatters who no longer works for NRAO. We have
retained his binary files but I do not even know if they would work on
the Solaris or Dec systems for which they were once built. Slime was
never a popular product and so we did not think there was reason to
invest effort as Chris was leaving. There might be source code in
those binary downloads - if there isn't then I dod not know ehere the
code might be - in which case a determined individual might be able to
do a Linux port.
