[daip] Further investigation

After a bit of fiddling I realized that LOGIN.SH was calling the AIPSASSN.SH
from the new installation, so it is actually the new AIPSASSN.SH script that
is complaining.  The old one works ok, at least syntax-wise.

I'll compare the two later and see what the differences are.

I now have an entirely different problem which I'll explain in a different
email, later.

Sorry to be such a bother. :P
