[daip] problems with the installation

Dear Sir,
I've tried to install 31DEC02 version of AIPS on my computer
(SunOS xun5 5.8 Generic_108528-06 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Blade-100),
following the instructions in http://www.aoc.nrao.edu/aips/install.shtml.
My machine is called xun5, and I want to be the only user, to run AIPS
only on xun5. I decided to use UNIX sockets, which is what I selected when
running the install.pl. However, I had to edit the START_TVSERVERS and
START_AIPS and change the USEUNIXSOCK=NO to 'YES' (in START_AIPS) and the
line SOCKTYPE=INET to 'UNIX' (in START_TVSERVERS).
My problem is that I dont get a TV window, but 2 xterm windows (one
called AIPS_MSGSRV_1, and the other one AIPS_TEKSRV_1).
(If I do ps -ef I get the following job that I do not understand it:
irini 2971 1 0 14:09:09 pts/11 0:00 ./TVSRV1).
Additionally:
1)I created a FITS directory in /xmm3/irini/AIPS (seems to be required; I
did not add the file SPACE in it).
2)I have not defined any tape drives
3)I have only the DA00 directory
4)the DA00/DADEVS.LIST file contains:
+ /xmm3/irini/AIPS/DATA/XUN5_1
+ /xmm3/irini/AIPS/DATA/XUN5_2
5)the DA00/NETSP file contains:
/xmm3/irini/AIPS/DATA/ERI_1 365.0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
