Hi,
Sorry to bug you all about this, but I just started the new MNJ
yesterday, and I have a few more wrinkles to iron out.

1) First, on SUL, the master architecture:

ella update report for 31DEC02 on Thu Apr 18 07:15:33 GMT 2002 (UT)
Copies and compiles:

AIPSUPD - Using CVS for copying files.
UPDCVS - cvs update of 31DEC02 completed
UPDCVS - cvs update of TEXT completed
AIPSUPD - UPDCVS apparently worked

<etc> - I get the XAS message, as Eric mentioned, so all looks good.
But it is followed by this output:

Subject: Output from "cron" command
Your "cron" job on ella /home/space1/aips/do_daily.ella
produced the following output:

patch: Invalid options.
patch: Usage:   patch [-blNR] [-c|-e|-n] [-d dir] [-D define] [-i
patchfile]\
              [-o outfile] [-p num] [-r rejectfile] [file]
cvs update: could not patch TIMESTAMP; will refetch

This repeats 6 times, for:
cvs update: could not patch CHANGE.DOC; will refetch
cvs update: could not patch PUTBCK.UPD; will refetch
cvs update: could not patch PUTBCK.UPD.SUM; will refetch
cvs update: could not patch REASONS.UPD; will refetch
cvs update: could not patch REASONS.UPD.SUM; will refetch
cvs update: could not patch XAS.SHR; will refetch
each time with the patch: Invalid options and Usage message.

I'm not sure what's going on - is it a patch version problem?
% patch -v
patch 2.5 Copyright 1988 Larry Wall; 1997 Free Software Foundation, Inc.


2) MNJ on SOL - this is set to run off SUL, using NFS.
I got this cryptic note:

Your "cron" job on monk /home/space1/aips/do_daily.monk
produced the following output:

AIPSUPD - UpdCVS is YES but UpdDoCopy isn't!

I have the default UPDCONFIG in SOL/UPDATE/, but it should be overridden
by UPDCONFIG in SOL/SYSTEM/CRSR, right?
