[daip] problems with 31DEC01 install script?

Part 6 requires entry of additional hosts.  I try to put one in like I
have before, say starscream.astro.uiuc.edu, and the install.pl script
hangs, and asks again for the information.  I have to quit out and
continue on to the next section.
