         $APGNOTandthe other programmer logicalsare set up by first
dotting the $AIPS_ROOT/LOGIN.SH file (bourne, ksh etc shells) or
sourcing LOGIN.CSH in csh. Then say $CDTST.  Then an "echo $APGNOT"
will no longer be null.
