[daip] strange tape problem

I have copied your data and run it several times on a linux machine
with a DAT and on a linux machine with a remote solaris DAT.  All
worked as intended.  I suspect that some bug in file locking has crept
into Linux and you (and CV) are on the cutting edge with the latest
revisions and the latest bugs.  I think that you can rename the TD
file and then copy it back to the old name rather than having to run
FILAIP.
