Dear Eric and Patrick,

I have installed the 31DEC99 version of AIPS 
on our Dec machines, and have been using 
this on the same data for about a week now with no problems.
It appears that whatever the problems were, they have 
either been fixed in the new version, or our old 
installation was at fault.

Unfortunately, it has not been possible to 
install the new version on our Suns, but since 
the problems have disappeared, I guess there 
wouldn't be much to compare.
