Hi, Pat (according to the schedule). I have data from a 512-Mbps test run
that I'm trying to combine using VBGLU. The explain file makes a point
that the source/antenna numbers must be identical. I can't find a way to
make that so for my two data sets, from these two correlation passes --
-- A 7-station set, correlating the first of two tapes from the 4 512-
Mbps stations, and the only tape recorded at three other stations.
-- A 4-station set, correlating the second of two tapes from the 512-
Mbps stations.
FITLD doesn't have a station- or baseline-selection feature, and I found
UVCOP with station/baseline selection still just copied over the original
AN table.
So the question is: how can I, ideally, construct a dataset combining the
channels correlated in both runs, leaving out those absent in the second
run? At a minimum, how can I combine just the total set of channels from
the 4 512-Mbps stations only?
This isn't just an oddball test case. I tried to design a test that would
be similar to what might actually occur in a real observation. Since the
512-Mbps "formatter expansion" upgrade was suspended when only partially
complete, and completion has been delayed repeatedly, we can expect that
users will want to record at 512 Mbps where possible, and at least get the
old 256 Mbps capacity elsewhere.
Thanks for any help,
Jon
