[MODEST] Opposing views {External}

Dear Friends and colleagues,

I am preparing a lecture series discussion on controversies in our
community.  For this purpose, I am looking for pairs of papers which
present opposing views. They may be controversial, but the topic
should be related to computational astrophysics. Ideally, the
controversy should be numerical, such as simulating a stellar cluster
using a tree-code instead of direct integration, or simulating
hydrodynamics with an SPH code as opposed to a grid-based code.

Maybe you have (rather typical) examples in mind of such opposing view
publications, which I could use in class for a more in-depth
discussion.
