Hi Mark

We'll hold a long-neglected imcal meeting next Tues and discuss this.
The Charge says: "Review the existing analysis for the polarization
and mosaicing performance of the hybrid ALMA array and consider the
priority and timescale for further analysis by the Science IPT"

So for now, I'm just trying to find existing stuff. Thanks for the
info on 1/f--can you remind me where I can find the results to show
the ASAC?

Tom is talking with Hills about running GRASP to generate the beam
patterns. Right now, we do not have any info on the Melco antenna
and nothing on the AEM production antenna. The estimate Tom gave me
suggested this would involve significant resources. I would think that
perhaps the antenna IPT would plan a GRASP calculation in the course of
their statement of work but do not know. Another tack to
take is to concoct an ATF program to do some measurements within that
facility's limitations. It could be that this would be too little, too
late. Optimally, we should discuss it and understand the situation.

Clear skies, and Happy New Year!
Al
