i was right (for once :)...

the decision to go with the digital signal transmission implies that
each antenna will necessarily need to be able to tune independently
of the others.  so, as many subarrays as one wants can be independently
tuned to different bands or different frequencies within a band, or
any combination of these two.  i confirmed this with bill brundage
this afternoon.
