Well, it almost could be done right now.
http://heasarc.gsfc.nasa.gov/Tools/maki/plugin/LHEAapi.html
is the heasarc tcl plugin. Fv is written in Tcl. With some bashing
one might be able to get them all to work together. OTOH, maybe no
bashing is needed and it would work right now. In fact, it seems that
http://heasarc.gsfc.nasa.gov/Tools/maki/maki.html might do what you
want.
That all said, I'm not 100% sure that the tcl plugin is well supported
anymore, either by the Tcl folks or by the Heasarc folks. Maybe
someone from the heasarc could speak up?
