In preparation for calibrator-free amplitude gain calibration for Rubin, the sky-calibrated values for our X-band receivers needs to be determined.
The results shown in the recent memo (#243) spanned only half the band, and were taken with a rather coarse 128 MHz spacing.
I ran a short test at noon today, usng 64 MHz-wide SPWs, spanning the entire band. This takes two tunings, centered on 9 and 11 GHz.
Attached are the results for rcvr#27, on ea08. The values shown are in excellent agreement with the memo values (Figs 6 and 7) in the regions of overlap. Three antennas (ea01, 10, and 21) were out of the array at the time.
The sky-calibrated values for the SPWs adjacent to the band edges (shown by the vertical lines) are affected by the bandpass slope.
I plan to repeat these measurements tomorrow, under better conditions (today's observations were taken at high elevation and in moderate winds).
