This certainly seems reasonable.
I'm hoping to get a couple more of these observations in the next few days — I'll soon learn if this thing repeats.

That band looks like it’s allocated for military air to ground communications. Low Elevation and pointing to the NE would be towards Kirtland AFB. Perhaps something the military is testing?

In order to characterize the P-band beam when the subreflector is in the non-standard positions (for VLITE), I have taken more than a dozen short observations at P-band over the past few days.
The latest one, taken last evening near 7PM, at very low elevation (pointing to the NE) showed a strong, wideband source of RFI that I've never seen before.
It spans 338.0 through 344.0 MHz, and was on continuously through the 35-minute observation. It was much stronger in the horizontal plane than in the vertical.
Any ideas of what this is?
