This sounds like you see modulations in *all* subbands and polarizations.
If so this is intriguingly different from its behavior in OSRO data,
where only ea06-B has problems. Of course there we see only one subband
per IF, but still that leaves 3 subband/pol'n pairs free of problems.

ea12 also shows occasional gain jumps at scan boundaries in OSRO data.

This is present in all bands I've checked so far (C X K), with the
amplitude of the modulation increasing with band frequency.  At C band
in the OSRO data the shape of the modulation (but not its period) is
different for the two IF pairs.
