75 minutes of a 2 hour pointing run at X-band were done last night. things were
relatively calm (wind speed max = 3.5 m/s).

things mostly worked, so vivek, you might want to have a look at the results.

here is the summary:

scan source Az El Nbad Ants
---- -------- ---- -- ---- ----
   1 1310+323 -88 69 0

   4 0927+390 -57 23 2 13,14

   6 1331+305 -90 66 7 13,17,18,21,23,24,26
   7 1609+266 +132 79 0
   8 1734+389 +69 66 1 14
   9 1407+284 -98 69 1 14
  10 1415+133 -129 61 0
  11 1130-148 -116 11 5 3,4,12,14,24
  12 1316-336 -146 13 2 3,21

the notable exception to things working is 3C286 - where most of the EVLA
antennas failed. i thought it might be because of a long slew or high
elevation, but neither of those seem to be the case, so i'm a bit baffled by
that failure. but otherwise it looks pretty good.

if things were calm today, we might want to ask the operators if they could run
a longer pointing file during maint time, but the winds are already at 6 m/s
(max of 9 m/s already today), so it might not be worth it.

but if vivek has a look at the results and sees reasonable things, then we
should definitely ask for a real pointing run as soon as we can get it, to fix
up 21.
