Preliminary report
All runs standard continuum, 3.3s averaging, mostly fast switching
11aug06: C band, EVLA ant. 13,14,16 included
-- good fringes on all except no data from ant. 13 IF B (2R)
12aug06: X band, EVLA ant. 13,14,16,18,24 included
-- good fringes on 13,14,16 throughout
-- ant. 18: good fringes on IF A (1R)
fringing but low amp. and quite noisy phases on IF B,C,D
(2R, 1L, 2L)
-- ant. 24: IFs AB no data (1R, 2R); IFs CD look fine throughout
13aug06: C band, EVLA ant. 13,14,16 included
-- good fringes throughout (incl. 13 IF B), but the first minute or so
of each of the two scans showed no fringes [low amp., random phase] on
all EVLA-VLA and EVLA-EVLA baselines. One scan was fast switching, the
other was standard [3C286]. All EVLA antennas started fringing at the
same time, which seems to rule out, e.g., a slow slew to the new source.
The rest of the 20-min. fast-switching scan was fine -- the EVLA antennas
started delivering good calibrator fringes at the same time as the
"standard" VLA antennas.
