[evlatests] Monitor Database

We're trying to sort out how long we should keep the monitor data online
in the database. We're still growing by about 4.5G per week and the rate
will increase as we add antennas and monitor points.
A practical solution would be to store older data offline and restore it
on an as-needed basis. It should take no more than a few hours to
restore a day's worth of data. Currently, that is about 7.5 million rows.
I would very much appreciate input, from anyone who cares, about how
current the data should be kept online and available through the web
page. Also, for data taken offline, is it reasonable to have a list of
two or three people to whom you could make a request to bring the data
online. That would hopefully assure that someone is always available for
the task.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Cheers,
Pat

Were it offered to my choice, I should have no objection to a repetition
of the same life from its beginning, only asking the advantages authors
have in a second edition to correct some faults in the first.
