Barry,

I suspect you may be right about LoIfSetup. I had been trying to get 
away with doing something much more simplistic that would address only 
the fact that a very wide frequency band received by a feed might not 
"fit" through the rest of the electronics. Perhaps it would be better if 
i were to create a truer model of the hardware and then overlay some 
kind of novice-view on top of that for obs prep purposes.

Thanks for the link to the API docs; i had been using a link that seems 
a bit stale
