The status of Accelerated Technology's port of
the Nucleus PLUS rtos & network stack is now
as follows:

- Accelerated feels that they have now solved
all remaining issues with the ethernet driver.
They have finished with the port of the rtos,
the network stack, and all of the other products
we ordered (Nucleus Extended Protocol Package,
Nucleus Shell, etc.). The port is now in final
testing and is due for release Wednesday (10/23)
or Thursday (10/24). If no glitches are found
during final testing, we should have the complete
port in-house by Friday (10/25) or Monday (10/28).

- Meanwhile, back at the AOC... Working from
an advance copy of the rtos port, Pete Whiteis
has brought up Nucleus PLUS on one of the
TriBoards we have in house. I'm referring here
to the rtos only, not the ethernet driver or
the network stack, or any of the other components.
The rtos demo/test programs display output via
the serial port of the TriBoard. The needed cable
was obtained yesterday, the TriBoard serial port
was connected to the serial port on one of the
development laptops and it was possible to view
the rtos demo/test programs output via a terminal
emulator. The test/demo programs run on the
TriBoard, producing the expected output messages
on the serial port. Currently, the rtos runs
from the SDRAM on the TriBoard. Eventually, we
must devise an approach for storing the rtos in
flash memory, loading it into internal, on-chip
RAM, and executing the rtos from on-chip RAM.
