It seems to me that we must decide on the MIB for including in antenna
devices on very short order, and that the choice of that MIB should be
based on 1.) interference minimization, 2.) an acceptable development
environment (including the RTOS), and 3.) probability it will still be 
around for the eVLA construction phase.

Micros for other purposes do not need to be chosen immediately; when the
time comes to chose them, we should assign a pretty heavy penalty to 
things that do not use the same RTOS as the MIB, but not exclude them,
if what we have chosen won't do the job, or does it in a grossly inconvenient
way.

The other applications are suffiently far in the future that I don't see
them much influence the choice at this time, for example by picking an RTOS 
specifically on the grounds that it would fit well in the correlator.
