Dear Chris,

Many thanks for your comments.
I have test the installation of MPI package with some simple programs shown in this link: http://micro.stanford.edu/wiki/Install_FFTW3:
Here are my tests:
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
lupin at GLTCU:~$ mpic++ -I/use/include simple_mpi_example.c -L/usr/lib/x76_64-linux-gnu/ -lfftw3_mpi -lfftw3 -o simple_mpi_example
simple_mpi_example.c: In function ‘int main(int, char**)’:
simple_mpi_example.c:16:25: warning: format ‘%i’ expects argument of type ‘int’, but argument 2 has type ‘ptrdiff_t {aka long int}’ [-Wformat=]
  printf("%i\n", local_n0);
                         ^
lupin at GLTCU:~$ mpic++ -I/usr/include simple_example.c -L/usr/lib -lfftw3 -o simple_example
lupin at GLTCU:~$ ./simple_mpi_example
10000
finalize
lupin at GLTCU:~$ ./simple_example
power of original data is 32130.000000
power of transform is 32130.000000
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
It seems the MPI can be performed smoothly, so I do not think the problem was caused by MPI.
In addition, I did not receive any error message when I installed the DiFX.

Sincerely,
