Chapt. 9.5.8 of the AIPS Cookbook suggests and explain how to carry out a complex bandpass calibration, quoting that in § 9.5.4.5 a scalar bandpass was done; i.e., only the amplitude was calibrated but not the phase.   However, considering the inputs described in § 9.5.4.5 the result is a BP table which also includes phase corrections.  

What's the catch?  Thanks for any help - of course no hurry as I understand there are totally different priorities right now.
