Hello,
I am trying to reduce HI data from the VLA project 20A-235 and would like to get some help for AIPS data reduction. To reduce the HI data, I read in the data using BDF2AIPS (output message looks normal) and extract the HI data only using SPLAT. And this is where the following error occurs:
localh> SPLAT1: Task SPLAT (release of 31DEC19) beginslocalh> SPLAT1: UVGET: doing no flagging this timelocalh> SPLAT1: ****** WARNING: NO NX TABLE IN MULTI-SOURCE FILElocalh> SPLAT1: ****** SELECTION AND FLAGGING BY SOURCE DISABLEDlocalh> SPLAT1: ****** YOU SHOULD RUN INDXRlocalh> SPLAT1: UVGET: NO DATA SELECTEDlocalh> SPLAT1: ** NO VISIBILITIES FOUND FOR ' 'localh> SPLAT1: ** CALCODE ' ' QUALIFIER -1localh> SPLAT1: FAILED TO SELECT VALID DATAlocalh> SPLAT1: Purports to die of UNNATURAL causes
Then I realized that the data have missing tables. Specifically, the problematic data have SU, AN, FQ, and NX tables, while data w/o any problem have SU, AN, FQ, NX, CQ, CD, SY, GC, CT, FG, WX, CL, and HI tables (yes, many tables are missing).
My question is then, how can I create these necessary tables? Running INDXR is what AIPS suggests, but I am not sure what input parameters are needed. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Best, Min
